Staff was very pleasant and friendly.
Housekeeping might want to be a little more thorough when cleaning rooms. I found an empty condom rapper on the floor.
The price was just right for a quick rest stop after a long, delayed flight. The place was easy to find, quick stop off highway, near gas station, etc. It had a refrigerator and microwave. It was clean. It had a sofa in front of the television.
My wife was scared about bedbugs, and searched the bed before going in. She never does that at any other place we have stayed. I didnt feel safe in the location. At 5am there were young men, topless, smoking, and walking the premises. The staff member checked us in through a window instead in the lobby, and then put something in the window to prevent breaking in, thus reinforcing that the place wasnt safe. The towels were old and hard. Time for replacing or investing in softener. When we were ready to check out, we had to wait in the car until the staff member returned. A sign was posted on the door, Be back in 5 minutes.
Very cheap and nice for the price.
Wish they had a pool, but can't beat it for what I paid.
Security seemed sketchy. Encountered threating behavior from other guests at checkin and received little assurance from staff. Basically felt unsafe and uncomfortable.
Ease of access to airport. Value for the $. Pleasant helpfulness of the office staff.
Proximity to the airport was really good.
Too much traffic of people not staying in the hotel going in and out.
Clean, comfortable, cheap and cheerful
Not much in way of facilities close by.
Our stay was awful, we booked non smoking room got assigned to smoking, then moved to non smoking which the sheets were dirty, we asked for clean sheets the manager said there were none and that we would have to take them from another room. Not only did we have to pull our sheets from the other room we had to apply them to our bed, and they were ripped and In total disaray, when we told the manager of our lament he pretty much said in so many words tuff luck from what we could understand from his accent! We are also in retail business and frankly this hotel needs an overhaul in managment and maintenance, the bathroom looked as if it hadent been cleaned in months.
There was air conditioning and running water and a lock on the door.
It was supposed to be non-smoking. Maybe just for that day. It smelled bad, and there was an ash tray on a dirty bedside table and there were cigarette burns in the bedspread. The phone had grease all over it. The room/hotel was very old and run down and in a seedy looking area. You get what you pay for, but it was classified as 3 1/2 stars! Maybe out of 10.
The guy at the counter made me feel very welcome and as if he cared that I was staying in his hotel.
They were working on one of the rooms next to us and my fiance was trying to sleep. That is hard to do with a hammer banging.
I was low on funds and needed to stay a week in Charlotte. This is a good $35 a night hotel. Air conditioning worked. Maids came by every morning. It was a cheap place for me to crash every night and I appreciated it for that.
It's definitely in a shady area. I never felt scared but I would not advise walking around the neighborhood. The hotel itself is fine for the price, but the area is questionable, although, if I were in the same situation, I would probably do it again.
The hotel is located near the highway, so it's convenient to stay for a long driving tour.
Because it's located at the side of highway, it's noisy. I heard the loud sound of emergency truck frequently. I don't know whether Charlotte has more accidents than other city.
It was a nice, quiet area, and close enough to downtown. Perfect for friends that need a place to crash for the night after a concert or sports event.
The evening desk clerk was exceptionally slow.
I admit, I was a little concerned that the hotel would be dirty or in a bad neighborhood, due to the low price, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It is right off the highway in a perfectly acceptable neighborhood, a few businesses and lots of single family homes. The front desk allowed me to check in 4 hours early, they were very friendly and gave me a room upgrade as that room was the only one available when I showed up. The room was very clean and tidy, the only noise I heard was from the airport as the hotel appears to be in one of its flight paths, but the planes never bothered me although I suppose they might seem loud to others. The wifi worked perfectly and was very fast. There was a much appreciated coffee maker in the room, a mini-fridge and microwave, and hairdryer which was great becuase I forgot topack mine. Mosti mportantly, the ac worked very well, which is an absolute must in nc in the summer. I was very satisfied with the Knights Inn facilities, staff, it's convenient location less than 4 miles from the City Center, and especially the price. The next time I come to Charlotte I'll be staying there.
Price and Location where my reasons for choosing Knights Inn Charlotte Airport. Also availablity at such a last minute notice.
